Opacity and Blend Modes

In some of the example projects described in the previous chapters, I showed you how you can enhance your print images by using layer opacity and blend modes. Now let’s take a much closer look at the Layers palette and explore how you can use it to adjust the opacity value for individual layers. This palette offers you incredible flexibility when creating graphics for print layouts. You can also use the Layers palette to change the way layers interact with each other by applying different blend modes. You can even create special effects by experimenting with various blend mode combinations.
